Excellent hotel
We stayed for one night at the Alexandra Hotel. We had a beautiful room with a seaview. Very clean and well maintained in the room and the other parts that we saw of the hotel. Staff were very professional and helpful. We would definitely stay again.

Super sea views and staff
The staff are excellent and always offer such a warm welcome.Excellent location on the seafront for walking into town or up to the Meads and onto the Downs.Rooms are tasteful, cleaned and comfortable offering great sea views.One of my fav Eastbourne hotels.

A fabulous experience
For the second year running my mother and I spent her birthday at The Alexandra hotel because it is such a wonderful experience. We were treated like royalty by Winston and the team. Nothing was too much trouble and he made my mums birthday very special.A deliciouscooked breakfast each morning too! Great location and lovely view of the sea and promenade. I cannot rate it highly enough. We will definitely be back next year. A big thank you to all the staff.

Alexandra hotel was a pleasant stay . Very helpful staff . Couldn’t do enough to help . The manager even moved his car for me to park because the front was shut due to a carnival going on . Very nice people

Basic hotel with no facilities
My first room had no hot water, but the very helpful receptionist moved me to another room.The room itself was well equipped, but small (it was a single). Judging by the masking tape, which was still sticking to the skirting board, the room had been recently decorated. The bed was very uncomfortable and there was no restaurant for dinner or indeed breakfast.


Thank you for your time and review Mr. Manson. Yes the hotel is newly refurbished and redecorated apologies about the masking tapeoversight. We are planning to open the restaurant for breakfast shortly. Hope to see you again

The hotel was very clean and with good provisions and the receptionist was very helpful and friendly. Situated right on the sea front this hotel I would definitely recommend to all.

Clean and very quiet
Very happy with our stay. However, we would have been disappointed if we had wished to use the bar or have breakfast.Neither were fully open. Indeed, it seemed that there is one young woman running the whole place - she was great. This is not, I think, the fault of the owners but because they cannot get the staff to work in the hotel - probably an issue for many. What a shame. And with the Brighton Uni students leaving forever this year I imagine the situation can only get worse.

This is my first time I'm doing a negative review. It was disappointing since we arrived.Check-in was at 3 pm, we arrived at 2:30 pm and they told us to come back at 3 pm because the room was not ready.Once we went into the room, we found: dead fly on the carpet, window glass dirty, stained and ripped blanket, the pressure of the water was ridiculous, I couldn't have the shower.Paper walls, you could hear literally every single word said in the next room.The rest of the services are totally absent.Lift 1x1m didn't work in the evening, and we have to use the stairs from the third floor.No bar service, no breakfast available.Still don't understand what I paid for that money.


Dear Pasquale, Our check-in time is at 3pm and we do our best to keep the rooms ready for the new arrivals so we could not check you inat 2.30pm.we hooverand try tokeep the rooms as clean as possible for the new arrivals. This hotel does only duvets and not blankets and fresh sheets are put for every arrival. The pressure ofthe waterwe will look into. The lift is new andin working condition. We will open the bar and restaurant shortly. We work hard not to get negative review but every suggestion is welcome so we can give better service to our guests. Thank you for your time and review.
